Seven cabins at seventy metres is a layout built for a group that arrives as three or four families rather than one. Twelve guests spread across seven rooms means nobody shares who does not want to, and the seventh cabin usually sits a deck away from the master, which is exactly what you want when the ages in the party span sixty years.
Five yachts carry this configuration. Icon’s Loon, Amels’ Ventum Maris, Benetti’s Seanna and Benetti’s Calex all take twelve guests in seven cabins with crews of seventeen or eighteen. LAMIMA is the outlier and worth a second look, a sixty five metre Indonesian phinisi under two masts, taking fourteen guests with a crew of twenty. Four of the five carry a beach club or a spa, and Loon adds a pool, a cinema, a gym and a sauna.
Weekly rates open at one hundred and eighty nine thousand euros for LAMIMA and reach six hundred and eighty thousand for Calex, with the modern motor hulls clustering between four hundred and thirty four thousand and five hundred and fifty thousand. Add an advance provisioning allowance of roughly thirty percent for fuel, food, berthing and drinks. Christmas and New Year weeks carry their own premium.
Summers run the Western Mediterranean and the Tyrrhenian, with Calex ranging east to Italy and Greece, and December moves Loon, Seanna and Calex toward Saint Barths, Antigua and the Bahamas.
