Abeking & Rasmussen has built at Lemwerder on the Weser since 1907, and for much of that time the yard’s largest customers have not been private at all. Minehunters, naval survey ships and SWATH pilot vessels come off the same site as the yachts, and the discipline carries over. These are steel and aluminium displacement hulls built to a naval standard of quietness, vibration control and sea keeping.
Our Abeking & Rasmussen charter fleet runs from Vera at fifty two metres up to Excellence at eighty. Excellence, delivered in 2019, is the yard’s most discussed hull and carries a bow unlike anything else afloat. Kogo at seventy one metres and Arience at sixty one represent the yard’s long range profile, while Dream and Scott Free form a matched pair at sixty metres delivered eight years apart. Vera at fifty two is the smallest of the group and the most accessible.
Weekly rates open near two hundred and thirty five thousand euros for Vera and reach one million one hundred and fifty thousand for Excellence, with the sixty metre group agreed between four hundred and twenty and five hundred and ninety five thousand. An advance provisioning allowance of roughly thirty percent covers fuel, food, berthing, drinks and harbour dues.
Range and silence are what this yard sells, so the fleet suits long passages and remote anchorages rather than harbour hopping. Northern Europe, the Adriatic and the Eastern Mediterranean through summer, the Caribbean and further afield in winter.
