Dataça is among the quieter ends of the Turkish Riviera, a quality that suits families who want calm anchorages and manageable distances between stops rather than the nightly marina circuit of Bodrum and Marmaris. The six family-rated yachts operating in this area cover a wide range of sizes and styles, from 32-metre motor yachts with waterslides and jet skis to blue-water sailing vessels with generous deck space for children to roam. All carry professional crews trained in child safety and provisioning, and most keep dedicated shallow-water inflatables for exploring beaches where the mother ship cannot anchor close. The Datça Peninsula has some of the clearest water in the eastern Mediterranean. Pebble beaches and rocky coves outnumber sand, but the snorkelling quality above them compensates.
