Martinique is one of the most evocative charter destinations in the Lesser Antilles, combining French Caribbean culture, volcanic mountain scenery and a well-equipped charter fleet. Yachts in the 125,000 per week bracket run to 40 to 50 metres, crewed by eight to ten professionals and carrying a full suite of water sports equipment and guest amenities.
The Martinique charter experience benefits from excellent infrastructure: a well-stocked charter base at Le Marin, regular provisioning from the Fort-de-France covered market, and easy access to the Diamond Rock dive site for diving guests. The island is also centrally placed within the Windward Islands chain, making it straightforward to extend the itinerary in either direction.
The advance provisioning allowance of around 30 per cent of the weekly charter fee covers fuel, food, beverages and berthing costs at Le Marin. Martinique is a French overseas region, so European-standard provisioning is available alongside authentic Caribbean produce. High season runs from December to April.
From Martinique, the charter itinerary extends naturally to St Lucia and the southern Windward Islands, offering a complete Windward Islands experience across a standard seven-day charter week.
