A sauna and a Seabob aboard the same charter yacht pair the oldest form of heat therapy with one of the newest underwater toys. The sauna gives guests a deep, restorative warmth after a day on the water, while the Seabob, a handheld jet propelled scooter, carries them across reefs and along the hull at speeds of up to fifteen kilometres an hour with no dive certification required.
Twenty three yachts in our charter fleet carry both. Solandge, O’Pari, Loon and Stella Maris represent the upper end, with lengths from fifty five to eighty three metres. Bliss, Freedom, Bello and Alfa Mario bring the combination to the forty to fifty five metre range that carries the strongest charter demand.
Weekly rates start at ninety five thousand euros and reach one million one hundred and fifty thousand, with the middle of the fleet chartering between two hundred and thirty five thousand and six hundred and fifty thousand per week. The median is close to four hundred thousand. Add roughly thirty percent for the advance provisioning allowance, covering fuel, food, port fees and drinks.
The western Mediterranean fills the summer calendar. Sardinia, the Amalfi Coast and the Greek islands offer clear water for the Seabob and quiet coves where the sauna earns its place after a swim. From November, several yachts cross to the Caribbean, where warm seas and cool trade wind evenings make the sauna a welcome counterpoint to a day in the water.
