A wet bar is a small detail that changes how a deck is used, and forty one yachts in our charter fleet have one specified properly. The group runs from twenty four to eighty eight metres with a median of forty eight, and includes Angelique, Solandge and Ventum Maris.
The difference between a wet bar and a drinks trolley is plumbing. A wet bar has a sink, a fridge, an ice maker and often a glass washer, which means crew can make and clear drinks without walking through the saloon. On a sun deck it turns the space into somewhere you stay all evening rather than somewhere you pass through. Thirty seven of these yachts are motor and three are sailing, with Benetti the best represented yard at six, followed by Trinity Yachts at three.
Rates run from sixty five thousand euros a week to one million two hundred thousand, with the median at two hundred thousand. An advance provisioning allowance of around thirty percent covers fuel, food, berthing and drinks, and the bar is stocked to your list rather than to a standard one.
Summers are spent in the Western Mediterranean and Greece, winters in Saint Barths and Antigua. A good bar earns its keep at sunset, at anchor, before dinner. Send us your dates and we will show you what is available.
