About Caladan

Caladan is a 37.92-metre motor yacht built by Tansu Yachts in 2015 and reimagined through comprehensive refits in 2023 and 2025. Originally launched as So’Mar, she has been transformed into one of the most compelling explorer yachts in the Mediterranean charter fleet, combining the robust seafaring DNA of the Cuda Class platform with a thoroughly contemporary interior.

Designed by Diana Yacht Design, Caladan draws on military-inspired naval architecture to deliver genuine ocean-going capability in a package that feels equally at home in a harbour on the French Riviera or an isolated Corsican cove. Her wood and epoxy hull in a semi-displacement configuration provides a smooth, fuel-efficient ride with a range exceeding 3,200 nautical miles, opening up itineraries that few yachts of her size can match. Stabilizers operating both underway and at anchor ensure a steady platform in all conditions, making her an ideal choice for guests who value comfort alongside adventure.

The 2025 refit brought a complete transformation to the interior spaces. The open-plan main salon features a warm contemporary aesthetic with natural materials, clean lines, and carefully considered lighting throughout. A state-of-the-art audiovisual system paired with Starlink satellite connectivity ensures that guests remain connected without compromise, whether streaming entertainment in the salon or joining a call from the upper deck.

On deck, Caladan offers generous outdoor living areas that belie her relatively compact footprint. The bow has been redesigned into a dedicated sunlounge, an inviting spot for quiet mornings or sundowner cocktails with uninterrupted forward views. The aft deck features a new bar setup and comfortable seating that transitions effortlessly between casual lunches and evening entertaining. A raised pilothouse provides panoramic views and serves as an additional social space when underway.

Caladan accommodates up to eight guests across four well-appointed cabins. The master suite on the upper deck and a full-beam VIP suite amidships both offer generous proportions with en-suite bathrooms. Two twin cabins, supplemented by Pullman berths, complete the layout and provide flexibility for families or groups travelling with children. A dedicated crew of six ensures attentive, personalised service throughout every charter.

The tender garage houses a well-curated collection of water toys and equipment. A SPX 32 RIB tender handles shore transfers and coastal exploration, while jet skis, an E-foil, paddleboards, snorkelling gear, and windsurfing equipment provide options for every pace and preference. Fitness and yoga equipment are available on board for guests who prefer to maintain their routine while at sea.

Caladan charters across the Mediterranean with seasonal itineraries spanning both basins. Summer programmes cover the French Riviera, Monaco, Corsica, Sardinia, the Amalfi Coast, Sicily, Croatia, Montenegro, and Greece. Her range and sea-keeping qualities make her particularly well suited to island-hopping itineraries and remote anchorages that larger yachts cannot reach, offering the kind of unhurried coastal exploration that defines the finest Mediterranean charters.

With weekly rates from EUR 90,000, Caladan delivers an authentic yachting experience built on genuine explorer heritage and recently completed design excellence. She also accepts cryptocurrency payments for added convenience.
