About Artisan

ARTISAN carries her length with unusual restraint. At 65 metres, Benetti’s 2019 tri-deck could easily have leaned on scale to make its case; instead she leads with precision — an exterior programme by Giorgio M. Cassetta that reads as considered rather than loud, and an interior collaboration between RWD and Bannenberg & Rowell built on warm timber, soft leather and long uninterrupted sightlines rather than ornament. The approach was recognised on its own terms: the World Superyacht Award in 2020, Best Exterior Design honours the year before.

Guests move through six decks connected by a glass-walled lift, and the plan rewards exploration. The main-deck salon opens onto a bar with its own wraparound sea view, the kind of room where a sundowner naturally becomes a two-hour conversation. Aft, a dining table set for twelve sits within sight of both salon and horizon — no partition forces a choice between company and view. Up top, a sky lounge holds a grand piano and a library of coffee-table books alongside a sofa arrangement built for lingering, while the sixth-level deck delivers a fully equipped gym with sliding doors onto its own private terrace, so a workout starts and ends with open air rather than a mirror.

The forward jacuzzi is worth planning a sunset around: glass panels drop the wind without blocking the view, and the deck around it is shaded on demand by a retractable canopy. Two decks below, the bow terrace turns into a watersports staging ground — twin umbrellas, deep-cushioned loungers, and immediate access to jet skis without a crew member needing to fetch anything first. That immediacy defines ARTISAN’s toy inventory generally: a 44-foot Fjord chase boat travels as her shadow vessel, backed by eFoils, Flite boards, a full SUP and kayak fleet, and enough towables and inflatables to occupy a family for a fortnight without repeating an activity.

The primary suite runs the full beam forward on the main deck, and its 160 square metres are used rather than padded — a private lounge and a separate office sit alongside the bedroom, with direct access to a forward deck that belongs to the suite alone. Guest accommodation continues across six further staterooms with genuinely different characters: one cabin frames its portholes as the room’s focal point rather than an afterthought, another pairs a cream leather headboard with a full-height mirrored wardrobe wall for a lighter, more contemporary feel. Every cabin carries an en-suite bathroom finished with the same restraint as the public rooms.

A crew of seventeen runs the operation, and it shows in details a guest never has to ask about — turndown timed to dinner, toys rigged before anyone reaches the platform, routes planned around wind rather than around schedule. ARTISAN charters the Western and Eastern Mediterranean through summer before shifting toward the Eastern Mediterranean, the Adriatic and the Middle East for winter, a rotation that keeps her within a day’s cruise of calm water in any season. For a group that wants scale without spectacle — six decks, a real gym, a chase boat’s worth of toys, and a primary suite built for actual use — she is difficult to argue with.
