About Eau La La

Numarine built the 37XP for owners who wanted the reach of a steel explorer without surrendering the light, easy volume of a modern tri-deck. EAU LA LA is that idea fully resolved, and she spends her year where the argument for it is strongest: the Bahamas in winter, the Leewards and the Virgin Islands when the trades settle.

She measures 36.88 metres and came out of Numarine in 2023 with a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure. The combination buys quiet. At twelve knots she carries a 6,000-mile range, far more than a Caribbean season will ever ask of her, and that surplus is precisely why she feels unhurried at anchor. Nothing on board is working hard.

Can Yalman drew both the exterior and the interior, and the through-line shows. Outside, the profile is long and low with a single hard crease running aft; inside, the same restraint reads as pale oak, wide glazing and very little pattern. The main salon opens to a 100-inch screen at one end and to the aft deck at the other, so the room changes character with the doors rather than with the furniture.

Accommodation is the part that separates her from the rest of the 37XP series. Six cabins sleep twelve, a full deck of guest space rather than the five-cabin standard, and the master takes the forward third of the main deck, its bathroom running behind it with twin stone-set basins, a walk-in glass shower and a hull window at eye level. The guest cabins below are unusually consistent: full-height joinery, sea light in every one, no cabin that anyone will feel short-changed to be given.

The sky lounge is the room most crews will steer you towards. It carries a stocked bar, a games table and an office corner, and it is the one space aboard that works equally well at eleven in the morning and eleven at night. Above it, the sun deck sets a genuine jacuzzi under an awning, with a glass-topped bar shelf that lets you eat without leaving the water, and a treadmill positioned to face the horizon rather than a bulkhead.

Her tender and toy inventory is the real headline for an active family. A 45-foot Everglades centre console is a serious fishing and island-hopping boat in its own right, not a runabout. Behind it sit three SF5 Seabobs, two 2024 Sea-Doo GTI SE jet skis, four Waydoo Subnado underwater scooters, kayaks, paddleboards, an inflatable slide off the side deck and a full snorkelling locker. The captain is a certified dive master, so rendezvous diving is arranged rather than improvised.

Nine crew for twelve guests is a generous ratio at this size, and it is the reason the boat runs the way she does. Service is quick without being visible, the beach club turns over between activities without fuss, and the foredeck lounge stays set for anyone who wants to be away from the noise.

EAU LA LA is a straightforward proposition. She is new, she is quiet, she carries more toys than yachts ten metres longer, and she is built to sit at anchor in shallow, clear water for a week without anyone thinking about fuel. For a family charter in the Bahamas that is a very short list of boxes, all ticked.
