About EXPLORA

The first Azimut Fly 82 to reach the charter market, EXPLORA launched in 2026 with an exterior by Alberto Mancini and an interior by Fabio Fantolino, two names that signal where Italian yacht design is heading at the 25-metre scale. She arrives in factory-fresh condition, with no previous charter seasons and every surface untouched.

Mancini’s signature move here is the opening side terrace: a full-length panel that folds down from the main salon to connect the living space directly to the waterline. It is an architectural idea, borrowed from residential rather than marine design, and it changes the rhythm of daily life aboard. The terrace serves as morning coffee spot, afternoon reading nook and evening aperitivo station, all without the formality of sitting at a table or moving to the aft deck. In the Amalfi light, at anchor, it becomes the best seat on the boat.

The main salon runs the full beam with floor-to-ceiling glazing on both sides. Fantolino resisted the temptation to subdivide, there are no partitions, no doors to close between the lounge and the dining area forward. An L-shaped sectional sofa anchors the port side, while a dining table for eight sits beneath a clean ceiling light forward. The palette is warm, contemporary and restrained: natural tones, soft textiles, wood that feels honest rather than ornamental.

On deck, the flybridge carries a helm station to starboard, a wet bar amidships and a generous sunpad forward. It holds the full complement comfortably and offers the longest sightlines aboard. Below, the bow sunpad provides a second, more private zone, useful when eight guests need space to separate during a week-long charter. The aft deck is the social hub: deep settees curve around three sides beneath the flybridge overhang, centred on a bar counter, with a cockpit wet bar one step down bridging the gap to the swim platform.

At 24.8 metres, EXPLORA sits in a size category where design discipline matters more than raw volume. There is no wasted space, every area serves a purpose, and the flow between them is intuitive. Step from the salon to the terrace, from the terrace to the aft deck, from the aft deck to the swim platform: each transition is a single step, a deliberate sequence that keeps the day moving without corridors or dead ends.

Four cabins below deck accommodate eight guests. The master suite takes the full beam forward, with large windows on both sides, a writing desk to port, a dressing area, and an en suite to starboard with a full vanity and pendant lighting. The VIP cabin aft sits beneath a skylight that washes the space in natural light during the day. Two further cabins, a double and a convertible twin, each have their own en suite, with enough wardrobe depth for a full week.

Three Volvo Penta engines produce a cruise speed of 19 knots and a top speed of 32 knots. The planing hull tracks flat at cruising speed and responds predictably in a beam sea, fast enough to cover Positano to Porto Cervo in a single comfortable day. A crew of four works from dedicated quarters forward, with separate access that keeps service discreet and guest areas undisturbed.

The galley is positioned for efficiency, close to the aft deck for plating and serving, separated enough from the salon that preparation stays out of earshot. The crew knows the western Mediterranean intimately, tailoring each itinerary around the group’s interests, whether that means hidden anchorages off the Amalfi Coast, the beach clubs of Sardinia’s Costa Smeralda, or evening arrivals into Capri’s Marina Piccola.

EXPLORA charters the western Mediterranean from EUR59,000 per week, with Italy, the Amalfi Coast and Sardinia as her primary cruising grounds. For a brand-new yacht from a proven shipyard, with design credentials that matter and no previous charter miles, she sets a clear benchmark at this scale. The market has few 2026 deliveries available for charter this season, and fewer still with this combination of designers and condition.
