About Jems

JEMS is a 44-metre semi-displacement motor yacht built by Heesen and delivered in 2009. Designed by Omega Architects, she is a yacht of unusual cultural personality: her interior by Eric Benqué uses clean lines, uncluttered styling, neutral soft furnishings, white walls and pale hardwood floors to create a gallery-like atmosphere that is deliberate, the owner curated a museum-quality art collection aboard her, including works by Pablo Picasso and pop art sensation Julian Opie.

This gallery aesthetic makes JEMS a genuinely distinctive charter experience: a 44-metre Heesen where the interior spaces feel curated rather than decorated, and where the art has been chosen to be experienced rather than simply displayed. An outdoor cinema screen on the sundeck and a media room with Bose audio deliver entertainment alongside cultural stimulation.

With twin MTU 16V 4000 M90 engines delivering 25 knots maximum and 20 knots cruising, a 9.44-metre Iguana chase tender and 5 staterooms for 10 guests, JEMS is managed through Edmiston in the Mediterranean.

The main deck aft of Jems is the primary outdoor social space: a covered area with comfortable built-in seating, a dining table and a natural connection to the swim platform. Whether for casual lunches or formal dinners under the stars, this deck delivers atmosphere and practicality in equal measure.

The main salon of Jems is the centrepiece of the interior: a generous open-plan living and dining area that uses carefully chosen materials, furniture and lighting to create a space that feels both refined and genuinely comfortable. Large windows ensure natural light throughout the day, and the flow between the salon and the aft deck makes indoor-outdoor living effortless for every guest.

The master suite of Jems occupies the best position on the yacht for privacy and natural light. A king-sized bed, ample storage, sitting area, his-and-hers dressing facilities and a premium stone en-suite bathroom with both shower and bath create a private retreat comparable to the finest suite in any five-star hotel.

The sun deck of Jems is the highest and most panoramic outdoor space on board: sun pads, comfortable loungers and a bar create an environment where guests naturally gather as the afternoon light changes. Views are unobstructed in every direction.

Entertainment aboard Jems centres on a dedicated cinema space with high-quality audio-visual equipment. A large-format screen, premium sound system and comfortable seating make for a genuinely cinematic experience at sea. The system extends to all salons and several exterior deck areas, so guests are never far from their preferred content.

The 5 staterooms of Jems accommodate 10 guests overnight in surroundings that match the quality of the master suite in materials and detail. Several cabins convert between double and twin configuration, and all are equipped with en-suite bathroom, ample storage, individual climate control and full entertainment systems.

The swim platform and transom of Jems give safe, direct sea access for all water sport activities. A full toy collection, jet ski, paddleboards, snorkelling and inflatable toys, is available throughout the charter.

Formal dining aboard Jems centres on a salon table seating up to 10 guests, served from a fully equipped professional galley. Multiple al fresco options, on the aft main deck, upper deck and sun deck, allow the crew to vary the setting for every meal. The on-board chef’s menu adapts to guests’ preferences and the finest produce available at each destination.
