About ONCE MORE

Posillipo’s Technema 120 has aged better than most Italian planing hulls of its generation, and ONCE MORE makes the case. Carlo Galeazzi drew her inside and out: the long, low, faintly aggressive profile the yard built its name on, wrapped around an interior that has since been taken back to bare joinery and rebuilt. Her 2024 refit is the reason she reads as a current yacht rather than a 2009 one.

Start with the pace. She is a planing GRP hull on MTU 16V4000 power: 28 knots flat out, and enough in reserve to move a charter party between Greek islands in an afternoon rather than a day. Zero-speed stabilisers then hold her flat once the anchor is down. For an itinerary built on the Cyclades, where the distance between two good anchorages is often the whole problem, that combination counts for more than volume does.

The main deck runs as one long room, and the refit was smart about it. The salon sits aft behind full-height glass, two deep sectionals facing an onyx-topped table, oval windows ringed in bronze light. Forward, past a slatted timber screen and a bulkhead carrying a gilded shoal-of-fish relief, the dining table seats eight. It is not a separate room; the screen divides without closing. On a 38-metre hull that openness is what keeps the deck feeling generous rather than partitioned.

Two of her five suites are full-beam. The master takes the forward main deck, raked windows across the front, a run of drawers down one side and a settee under the glass. The VIP sits full-beam on the lower deck between its own pair of doors. Three further cabins follow, plus a bunk cabin that solves the perennial problem of where to put the youngest guests. Ten sleep aboard, seven crew look after them, and Starlink runs throughout for anyone who cannot quite leave work ashore.

Where she earns her keep is aft and above. The transom folds down into a beach club: a timber-lined lounge with a low sofa and floor cushions opening straight onto a teak platform at water level, which is where the toys live. A 4.8-metre tender, a Spark jet ski, sea scooters, inflatable paddleboards, tubes, a wakeboard and skis all launch from the same few square metres. Above, the sundeck runs nearly the full beam beneath a retractable hard top with an opening tent, so the same space works at midday in July and at ten in the evening in September. A long teak table sits forward of a wraparound settee. One deck down, the aft deck keeps its own table and lounge under the overhang, shaded from breakfast onward.

She is Greek-based and Greek-flagged, working the Aegean and the Adriatic, and her programme reflects it: short hops, long lunches, a crew that knows which bays empty out by six.

ONCE MORE is not the largest yacht in her price band. She is one of the quickest, one of the most recently rebuilt, and for a party of ten who would rather move than sit still, one of the better-judged.

One detail worth knowing before you book her: the sundeck hard top is the whole argument for this yacht in an Aegean August. Fixed hard tops trap heat and fixed biminis flap; hers retracts, and the tent behind it opens independently, so the deck can be fully shaded at two in the afternoon and fully open at nine at night without anyone moving furniture. It is a small piece of engineering that quietly decides where a charter party actually spends its evenings.
