ROSEHEARTY is a 56-metre sailing ketch built by the Italian shipyard Perini Navi and delivered in 2006 as the third hull in the yard’s highly regarded 56m series. Designed with naval architecture by Ron Holland and interiors by the celebrated French designer Christian Liaigre, she is a yacht built for global cruising: her track record includes the Northwest Passage, Antarctica, South America, Greenland and the South Pacific. She is also a regatta winner, having placed first at the 2015 Perini Navi Cup in Porto Cervo.
Christian Liaigre is better known for his residential interior design for clients such as Karl Lagerfeld and Calvin Klein than for superyacht commissions, making ROSEHEARTY’s interior genuinely rare. He used crisp white linen sofas, Hermes leather and a palette of pale oak and ebony to create a sophisticated, quiet interior that sits comfortably alongside the yacht’s sailing credentials without overwhelming them.
ROSEHEARTY’s accommodation layout is her most unusual selling point: she is the only Perini Navi 56m to offer a seventh stateroom, bringing total capacity to 12 guests in a configuration unavailable elsewhere in this series. The full-beam master suite features a king bed, his-and-hers en-suite bathrooms and a private lounge. Two identical VIP suites with queen berths join two twin cabins that each offer a double bed, single bed and a Pullman bunk for additional flexibility, with the main-deck seventh double stateroom completing the picture.
On deck, ROSEHEARTY’s large spaces provide ample lounging, sunbathing and alfresco dining opportunities throughout the day. A custom cockpit layout seats 12 for al fresco dining, with a 60-inch screen for outdoor movie nights. A heated flybridge Jacuzzi anchors the upper deck, with sun loungers fore and aft. The fully shaded aft deck dining and lounge area has a large television and flows naturally into the main salon.
Her water toy collection includes an 11-metre Hinckley Picnic Boat Panthera as primary tender, a 6-metre Novurania, kayaks, SUPs, a wakeboard, jet skis and SeaBobs, as well as full scuba diving gear. With a crew of 11 and a range of 3,600 nautical miles under power, ROSEHEARTY splits her calendar between the Mediterranean in summer and the Caribbean over winter, with her circumnavigation pedigree making her equally at home with guests wanting to sail hard or simply anchor in beautiful places.
ROSEHEARTY is the sole yacht in the Perini Navi 56m series to offer a seventh stateroom, a unique capability that sets her apart from all sisterships.
