About SAMIRA

SAMIRA is a Riva 76-foot Perseo Super delivered in 2024 and based year-round in Cannes, the Old Port in summer, Port Pierre Canto in winter. She is one of the more interesting boats in the Riviera charter market for a specific and unglamorous reason: at 23.25 metres she sits under the 24-metre threshold, which means she berths in places a 25-metre yacht simply cannot, and she does it without giving up a full-beam master or a fourth cabin.

The Perseo Super is a coupé, and the main deck is handled accordingly. From the helm forward to the cockpit aft it is one continuous volume, with a long pale sofa to starboard, a low table, a dining table and the galley run outboard of it. Glazing runs from the windscreen to the aft bulkhead and then continues overhead through a full-length sunroof, so the room is effectively open to the sky when the weather allows and completely enclosed when it does not. There is no bulkhead between the seating and the dining table; it is one room used in two ways, and it is the right compromise on a hull this size.

Below, eight guests sleep in four cabins. The master takes the full beam amidships, the berth facing aft with hull windows running the length of both sides at pillow height, dark timber on the bulkheads and a long low dresser to port. The VIP is forward with the berth angled into the bow. Two twin cabins complete the accommodation, each with single berths either side of a central walkway and a mirrored aft bulkhead that doubles the apparent width. The master bathroom is white marble with a moulded basin, a separate glazed shower and an opening porthole over the vanity, unusually bright for a below-deck head.

Outside, the aft cockpit carries a curved settee with a lifting teak table and a sunpad behind it, shaded by the coupé overhang and opening straight through to the saloon when the aft glazing retracts. Forward of the windscreen the foredeck is given over entirely to a full-width sunpad with a folding bimini over its aft end, raised bolsters at the head, a walk-through from the side decks, and nothing else on it. It is the least interrupted piece of deck aboard and the one most guests end up on.

Twin MAN V12 diesels of 1,800 horsepower give her a 25-knot cruise and a 36-knot top speed, which on a hull this size is genuinely quick, quick enough to reach Saint-Tropez or the Lérins for lunch and be back for dinner without planning the day around the passage. Stabilisers work at anchor and underway. Her tender is a custom RIB, lettered T/T SAMIRA, that lives in the transom garage.

She runs with a crew of two, which suits the boat: this is a yacht for a family or two couples using the Riviera intensively rather than a floating hotel for a fortnight. The interior design is Ferretti Group’s own, and it is restrained by Riva standards, pale fabrics against dark timber, very little ornament, and the glazing doing most of the work. For eight guests who want the Riva name, real speed and a berth in the middle of Cannes rather than a mile offshore, she is a precise fit.
