Raven is the yacht that made the rest of the sailing superyacht world recalculate. At 34 metres she carries hydrofoils on adjustable side arms, supporting a large share of her displacement, and no sailing yacht of her size had attempted that before. Sea trials in Finland produced sustained speeds in the high twenties.
The numbers behind it are the real story. Light craft mass is 55 tonnes on a 34 metre hull, a figure that only holds together because Baltic engineered the structure and the accommodation as one thing. Interior panels are carbon tube frames skinned in rattan. Bamboo appears in the finish. Weight was the brief, and the yard hit it.
Jarkko Jamsen styled her inside and out, and the aesthetic is deliberately spare: exposed structure, minimal surface, industrial detail. It is not the usual superyacht interior and it is not trying to be. A fully fitted galley and air conditioning throughout stayed in the specification anyway, which made the weight target harder rather than easier.
Botin Partners handled naval architecture, PURE Design and Engineering the structure, and A2B Marine Projects represented the owner. Forward of the working cockpit sits the bird’s nest, a recessed space frame guest cockpit borrowing its logic from the Maserati Tipo 61.
The Boat International Design and Innovation Awards 2025 handed her four categories, including Innovation of the Year.
