Six cabins across seventy metres gives twelve guests more volume per head than almost any other charter configuration. The rooms stop being cabins and become suites, and the space that a seventh and eighth cabin would have taken goes to the beach club, the gym or a larger main saloon instead.
Ten yachts run this layout, from sixty one metres to seventy four. Feadship has two in Nectar and Lunasea, Nobiskrug two in Lady Vera and Sycara V, and Heesen, Benetti, Trinity, CRN and Admiral one each. Creole is the outlier and the reason to read the list twice, a nineteen twenties Camper and Nicholsons schooner taking eleven guests under three masts. Eight of the ten carry a beach club and nine a jacuzzi.
Weekly rates open at two hundred and twenty four thousand euros for Creole and close at eight hundred and seventy five thousand for Lady Vera, with the median near five hundred and fifteen thousand. Most of the fleet charters between four hundred and forty five thousand and six hundred and eighty thousand. Add an advance provisioning allowance of roughly thirty percent for fuel, food, berthing and drinks.
Seventy metres carries fuel, stabilisers and a crew of eighteen to twenty two, which turns overnight legs into something guests sleep through. Summers run the Riviera, Sardinia, the Aeolian islands and the Cyclades, and December moves most of the fleet to Saint Barths and the Grenadines.
