A steam room on a motor yacht is a dedicated wellness space, set apart from the jacuzzi and the sun deck by enclosed heat and controlled humidity. The steam room sits adjacent to the spa or gym on the lower deck, and on the larger yachts it forms part of a full wellness circuit: sauna, steam, plunge pool and treatment room. Weekly rates open at ninety five thousand euros for Safe Haven, a fifty metre yacht, and run to three million for the largest superyachts. The median sits at six hundred and forty five thousand. The lower quartile falls at two hundred and fifty thousand, so this is a fleet that skews toward the larger and more heavily specified boats. An advance provisioning allowance of roughly thirty percent covers fuel, food, berthing and drinks.
Sardinia, the Cote d’Azur and Croatia fill the summer, with the Amalfi Coast and the Dalmatian Islands within easy reach.
