About Forever

Forever does one thing, and does it more seriously than almost anything else at 45 metres. She is built for the evening.

The clues start on the foredeck, where a 5.5-metre pool with a jet system runs across the beam — long enough to swim in, not just sit in, with a ladder at one end, a low sofa along the side and a bar cart to hand. By late afternoon the light comes in flat off the cliffs and the whole bow becomes the best room on the yacht. Aft and up, the sundeck runs a walkaround cocktail bar with draught taps, a glass chiller and a full DJ set-up. Below that, the skylounge carries a backlit onyx bar with stools — the room the party moves to when the wind gets up, and one of the few interior bars at this size that was designed rather than fitted afterwards.

None of which would matter if the yacht underneath were thin. It is not. Forever is a steel-hulled, aluminium-superstructured 44.8-metre delivered in 2015 with a Luca Brenta exterior, comprehensively refitted in 2023. She holds 478 gross tonnes, cruises at fifteen knots and carries 6,500 nautical miles of range. The profile is grey and near-plumb, low in the water and entirely without decoration; among the white hulls of a Balearic anchorage she is the one people ask about.

The interior is the counterargument to the neon. It is almost entirely white — lacquer, marble, pale upholstery — with a single long window band running the length of the main deck and a mirrored deckhead that doubles the light. The saloon is one continuous space: sofas and low tables aft, a dining table for twelve forward, and a staircase in pale stone rising through the middle of it. Nothing competes for attention. It is a deliberately quiet room for a yacht with a fog machine.

The beach club is the other serious space. It opens at sea level, with the SEABOBs and jet skis stowed within reach of the water, a gym and a steam room behind, and the branded kit bags racked along one side. On a charter that runs late, having somewhere to swim and sweat at eight in the morning is not a luxury; it is what makes the second day work.

Six cabins take twelve guests. The master runs forward on the main deck with forward-raking windows above the bed, a padded headboard wall and a his-and-hers dressing corridor with twin vanities alongside. Her bathroom is the one place the restraint drops — a full tub set against black marble under a mirrored wall. Below, five further cabins in the same white and pale grey, each hung with a single piece of art, run to doubles and a twin. Nine crew work the yacht.

Forever charters the Balearics and the western Mediterranean from EUR 200,000 per week, with nine crew and a 13.7-metre chase tender alongside a second, smaller boat for the beach. She is not a quiet family yacht and does not pretend to be; the sound system, the lighting rig and the layout all point the same way, and a week on board is planned around the evenings rather than around the crossings. Booked for what she is, there is very little like her at the length.
