Four hundred and fifty thousand euros a week places a charter in the sixty to eighty metre range, where the yacht itself becomes a destination rather than a means of reaching one. Thirteen yachts in our fleet carry this rate, priced between four hundred and fifty thousand and four hundred and ninety thousand euros, with the median near four hundred and seventy five thousand.
Eight of the thirteen sit in the sixty metre class, three reach seventy metres, and two clear eighty. Twelve are motor yachts. The exception is the Maltese Falcon, the 88 metre Perini Navi clipper that remains one of the most recognised sailing yachts afloat. Feadship leads with three hulls, followed by VSY with two, and single entries from Heesen, Lürssen, Amels, Sanlorenzo and Perini Navi. Every yacht in this bracket carries a gym and a jacuzzi, ten have a beach club, and nine offer a cinema.
The quoted rate covers the yacht and a crew of fifteen to twenty. An advance provisioning allowance of around thirty percent covers fuel, food, berthing and drinks. At sixty metres and above, fuel consumption on passage heavy itineraries is a meaningful variable, so the final settlement reflects how far you travel as much as where you go.
