Ten guests on a thirty metre yacht is the entry point to private charter, and it is a more capable one than the numbers suggest. Every yacht here runs five cabins, so ten people sleep two to a room without a pullman in sight. Crew numbers sit at four or five, which makes the week feel closer to a house party with staff than to a fully formal charter.
Eight yachts hold this combination and the Italian production yards dominate. Ferretti has Together and Nailu, with Vivaldi from Monte Carlo Yachts, Marea La Nautica from Azimut and Rehab from Benetti. Rehab and Vivaldi both carry a pool, which is rare below thirty five metres. Andeo and Eleganza are traditionally built yachts working the Croatian and Montenegrin coast, and they charter for a fraction of the rest.
Weekly rates run from nineteen thousand five hundred euros to one hundred and ten thousand, with the median close to seventy five thousand and the production motor yachts mostly between sixty nine and ninety thousand. An advance provisioning allowance of around thirty percent covers fuel, food, berthing and drinks. At this size fuel is a small line rather than the dominant one.
Thirty metres berths anywhere, which is the point. Hvar, Kotor, Bonifacio, Portofino and the Cyclades all stay open in August when larger yachts anchor off and tender in.
