Diving from a motor yacht is the most self-contained way to explore a reef, a wreck or a wall. The yacht carries compressors, tanks, regulators and often a certified dive instructor among the crew, so there is no dependence on shore operators or day boats. Guests surface to a hot shower, lunch on the aft deck and an afternoon nap in air conditioning.
One hundred and ten motor yachts in our charter fleet carry full diving equipment, from the thirty metre Galena to the one hundred and twenty six metre Octopus, whose dedicated submersible and decompression chamber put her in a category of her own. Feadship builds the largest group, followed by Benetti, Heesen, Amels and Codecasa. The fifty metre band holds the most yachts, with strong representation at forty seven and forty nine metres.
Weekly charter rates open at eighty thousand euros for Galena and run to three and a half million for Breakthrough. The median sits close to three hundred and eight thousand euros. Add an advance provisioning allowance of roughly thirty percent, covering fuel, food, berthing and drinks. Dive equipment and guide time are typically included in the provisioning.
The Red Sea, the Maldives and the Bahamas offer the clearest water and the most protected marine parks. In the Mediterranean, the Aeolian Islands, Corsica and the Turkish coast provide wall dives and wreck sites within a standard summer itinerary.
