Antiparos Superyacht Charter

Antiparos is a small and beautiful island in the heart of the Cyclades, a laid-back and unspoilt gem lying just across a narrow channel from its larger neighbour Paros. Quietly fashionable yet wonderfully relaxed, it has become a favourite retreat for those seeking authentic Cycladic charm away from the crowds.

The island’s pretty main town is a classic Cycladic beauty of whitewashed houses, flower-filled lanes and welcoming tavernas, gathered around a lively little harbour and a Venetian castle. Its easy-going atmosphere and low-key sophistication have long attracted artists, writers and discerning travellers.

Antiparos is ringed by golden beaches and clear turquoise coves ideal for swimming, while a famous cave adorned with dramatic stalactites lies in the island’s interior. The surrounding waters offer sheltered anchorages and easy access to Paros and the wider Cyclades.

With its beautiful beaches, charming town and relaxed atmosphere, Antiparos captures the timeless spirit of the Cyclades. Guests can anchor in clear coves, wander its whitewashed lanes and enjoy the unspoilt beauty and easy pace of one of the loveliest small islands in Greece.

Whether swimming from a golden beach, exploring its charming town or simply relaxing at anchor in a quiet cove, guests here enjoy the timeless and easy-going beauty of the Cyclades at its most authentic and appealing.

Antiparos Charter Guide

Everything you need to know before chartering a yacht in Antiparos, from the best time to visit to where to drop anchor.
When's the best time to charter to Antiparos?

June through September gives the warmest, most settled weather, with July and August also the busiest around the town and its beaches. May and late September offer a quieter alternative, with the Cyclades’ characteristic meltemi winds usually at their calmest in early and late summer, and water still warm enough for comfortable swimming.

What's the nearest airport to Antiparos?

Paros National Airport (PAS) is the closest, just a short hop by ferry or water taxi across the narrow strait separating the two islands. Guests can also fly into Mykonos or Santorini and reach Antiparos by inter-island ferry or a longer charter passage, depending on where the rest of the itinerary runs.

Where should we anchor around Antiparos?

Antiparos Town’s harbour beneath the Kastro is the natural base, with Soros Bay and Psaralyki offering quieter, pine-shaded alternatives further down the coast. Agios Georgios, on the island’s southern tip, is the usual crossing point for a tender out to Despotiko, and a convenient overnight stop in its own right.

How many days should we spend at Antiparos?

Two to three days allows time for the cave, the Kastro and at least one visit to Despotiko, plus a beach day at Soros or Glifa. Antiparos also pairs naturally with a few extra days on neighbouring Paros, reached in minutes by tender, for a fuller taste of the central Cyclades.

Is it true Tom Hanks owns a home on Antiparos?

Yes. Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson have owned a home on the island for years and were granted Greek citizenship at a ceremony here in December 2020. Their low-key presence fits the island’s character well, since Antiparos has long drawn a quieter, more private crowd than its glamorous Cycladic neighbours.
