WHISPER V is a Custom Line 112 from 2002, refitted in 2018, and her headline number is speed. She cruises at 25 knots and tops out near 30 – genuinely fast for a 34-metre, and among the quickest yachts in her class. In Greece, where the good anchorages can be an hour or more apart, that speed changes the shape of a charter: you decide over breakfast where to have lunch, and you get there.
She is a Ferretti Group build with a light, warm interior of pale timber and honey-coloured wood, refreshed in 2018 with cream and yellow upholstery that keeps her feeling current rather than early-2000s. The main deck is open-plan and full of light. The salon runs to soft sofas and a pair of yellow accent chairs around a low table, with the formal dining table forward of it seating the full party – all of it wrapped in low hull windows that put the sea at eye level from every seat.
Her master suite is the surprise. It sits high under a run of angled skylights that flood it with daylight, with the bed at one end and a long cushioned settee running the length of the windows at the other – a bedroom and a private lounge in one bright, generous room. It is a genuinely unusual space for the size, and it is the room guests remember. Below, further cabins including a twin extend the accommodation to six cabins in total, each en-suite in the same pale timber.
Outside, she is built for the sun. The aft deck carries a shaded dining table right on the water. The foredeck opens into a broad sunpad terrace, and the flybridge is the social centre – a wraparound settee and table aft, loungers, and an open-air gym with an exercise bike and weights for anyone who wants to keep moving on charter. At water level the swim platform and a full spread of toys – jet skis, paddleboards and an inflatable water park – turn the stern into a playground.
She is a planing yacht with a shallow 1.85-metre draft, which is a real asset in Greece: it lets her tuck into the shallow, sandy bays that deeper yachts have to admire from the channel, and her speed means she reaches them quickly. Add a crew of six and 328 gross tons of volume, and she carries her guests in more space and comfort than the length would suggest.
WHISPER V charters Greece from EUR 70,000 per week. For a fast, freshly-refitted 34-metre with a skylit master, an open-air gym and a serious set of toys, that is a strong number – the kind of yacht that suits an active group who want to see a lot of coastline in a week.
Fast, bright, shallow-drafted and well-equipped, she is a lot of yacht for a group that likes to keep moving.
