ALISEI is a Bali 5.8, launched new in 2025 and, at the time of listing, the only one of her model available for charter in Italy. She is a large, modern sailing catamaran built around a single idea: open the yacht up completely. Where older cats keep the salon and the cockpit as separate rooms, the Bali 5.8 folds the aft bulkhead away so the whole main deck becomes one continuous living space, level from the dining table to the sea. It makes her feel far larger than her eighteen metres, and it is why she suits families and groups who want to live outdoors.
Four cabins sleep eight, arranged as three doubles and a twin, each with its own bathroom. A full-beam owner’s cabin gives the main suite genuine volume and light, while the guest cabins sit low in the hulls with their own windows at the waterline. The interior is finished in pale oak and soft neutral fabrics, calm and contemporary, with large glazing that keeps every space bright. Because the accommodation is split across the two hulls, privacy is built in.
The main deck is the reason to choose her. Glass doors and a folding transom join the galley, the salon lounge and the cockpit into one open room that runs straight out to a huge aft cockpit and sun lounge. Forward, a solid foredeck carries sun pads and a shaded seating area, a second living space for mornings at anchor. Up top, a flybridge adds the helm and another lounge with the best view aboard. A crew of three handles the sailing, the cooking and the water toys.
She is built for the Italian summer. Her shallow draft lets her tuck into the shallow, sheltered bays that a keelboat has to admire from a distance, and her stability keeps everyone comfortable underway. Seabobs, paddleboards, towable toys and a Starlink connection turn each anchorage into a base for the day, whether that means water sports off the transom or a quiet afternoon in the shade. She sails cleanly when the breeze is there and motors gently when it is not, always putting comfort first.
What sets her apart is newness done well. Delivered in 2025, she is barely broken in, and it shows in the finish of the galley, the crispness of the upholstery and the ease of her systems. She feels like a private yacht rather than a well-used fleet boat, and that difference carries through the whole week aboard.
Day to day she is easy to enjoy. The open main deck keeps the whole group together for lunch and long evenings, while the foredeck and flybridge give couples somewhere to slip away. The crew keep the rhythm relaxed: a swim before breakfast, a sail to the next cove, a run ashore for dinner. On a catamaran there is simply more room to do all of it at once, and ALISEI uses every metre of it well.
For a family or a group of friends who want space, light and the freedom of a shallow draft, ALISEI is a genuinely modern choice: a new-generation sailing catamaran that makes an Italian summer feel effortless from the first anchorage to the last.
