ALTHEA is a sixteen metre sailing catamaran built by Fountaine Pajot, one of the new generation of the yard’s flagship cruising cats and delivered in 2026. She is bright, beamy and easy to live aboard, with the stability and shallow draft that make a catamaran such a relaxed way to explore, and the sailing manners to make the passages a pleasure rather than a means to an end. Based in Greece, she is perfectly suited to the Cyclades, the Saronic and the Ionian, tucking into shallow bays and quiet coves that a deeper yacht has to pass by.
She sleeps ten guests across five double cabins, spread through both hulls so every couple has real privacy, and each cabin has its own bathroom. The interiors are light and contemporary, finished in pale oak with soft neutral fabrics and large hull windows at the waterline, so you wake with the sea a hand’s width away. An owner’s cabin takes one hull as a private suite, while the guest doubles are bright, comfortable and generously sized for a production catamaran of this class.
Life aboard a catamaran happens outside, and ALTHEA is arranged around that. The aft cockpit is the main living space, a shaded outdoor saloon with a big table and wraparound seating that serves as the natural place for long lunches and slow evenings, level with the saloon and a step from the sea. Forward, the trampolines and a foredeck lounge give a sociable sun trap at anchor, and a flybridge above adds sun pads and a lounge with the best views aboard, high enough to catch the breeze along with the coastline.
Inside, the saloon opens straight off the cockpit so the two flow together as one long living space. A comfortable lounge and a bright galley share the same level, wrapped in glass and full of light, so whoever is cooking stays part of the group. A crew of two looks after the ten guests, running the sailing, the cooking and the water sports with easy familiarity.
