CAMENA II is a twenty-nine metre motor yacht built in the Netherlands by Lowland Yachts, and she wears her Dutch pedigree in every detail. Launched in 1992 and thoughtfully refitted in 2018 and again in 2024, she blends the timeless proportions and craftsmanship of a classic displacement yacht with the systems and comforts of a modern charter. The result is a calm, characterful yacht for the western Mediterranean, cruising Italy and the South of France from the Amalfi Coast and Capri to Sardinia, Portofino, Monaco and the French Riviera.
She sleeps eight guests across four cabins, a master, a VIP double and two twins, each with its own bathroom. The interiors are richly finished in satin teak with plush carpets and elegant furnishings, warm and settled in a way only a well-kept classic can be. Every cabin is generous and private, with good natural light and quiet comfort, and the whole lower deck has the reassuring solidity of a yacht built to cross oceans rather than merely look the part.
The main salon is the heart of the yacht, a spacious room with a large U-shaped sofa, leather armchairs and a dedicated formal dining area, wrapped in windows that fill it with light and frame the passing coast. It works as one connected living space, generous enough to gather the whole party for dinner and relaxed enough to slip away with a book, and it stays cool and calm through the middle of the day while the decks take over in the sun.
Her decks are generous and varied. Guests can bask in the sun on expansive sun pads or retreat to shaded areas beneath a retractable awning, while the spacious aft deck flows toward the swim platform for easy access to the water. The flybridge is a highlight, a shaded lounge with comfortable seating, sun pads and an open-air helm station that gives exceptional visibility and makes the most of a long day at anchor or a slow coastal passage.
Under way she is exactly what a classic displacement yacht should be: steady, quiet and reassuring. Twin engines carry her at a comfortable cruising pace with the range to move easily between cruising grounds, and stabilisers keep her calm both under way and at anchor, so meals and sleep are never disturbed by a swell. She is at her best on the longer, more scenic runs of the western Mediterranean, where the coastline is the point and the journey matters as much as the anchorage.
A crew of four looks after the eight guests aboard, praised by returning charterers as relaxed, professional and genuinely welcoming. The galley turns out creative, generous cooking, and the seabob, paddleboards, towable toys and snorkelling gear keep the water busy through the day, with the tender on hand for a run into Portofino, Capri or a quiet Sardinian cove in the evening. Modern connectivity, including Starlink, keeps the yacht linked when it needs to be.
CAMENA II suits families and groups who want a classic, comfortable yacht with real sea manners for the western Mediterranean: four ensuite cabins, a warm timber salon, a flybridge lounge and a crew who make the week feel effortless. She is elegant, capable and quietly characterful, a considered base for a summer along the coasts of Italy and the South of France.
