San Limi is a 114-foot motor-sailing yacht built by CMB Yachts in 2007 and refitted in 2020. Designed by the Turkish naval architect Yener, she combines the reach and quietness of a ketch rig with the convenience of a modern motor yacht, equally comfortable under sail in an Adriatic breeze or motoring between islands on flat water. At 34 metres and with a beam of eight metres, she carries the volume of a genuine cruising yacht rather than a daysailer.
She accommodates eight guests in four cabins: a full-beam master suite, a VIP double and two further guest cabins, each with its own en-suite. A crew of five, captain, mate, chef, stewardess and engineer, live aboard and manage everything from sail handling to provisioning in harbours where space alongside is limited.
The aft deck is the social centre of the yacht, laid for alfresco dining under a retractable awning with seating for all eight guests. Forward of it, the enclosed salon runs the full beam and serves as both a lounge and an indoor dining room, with wraparound windows that let the Adriatic light in from every angle. A built-in settee and a separate dining table give the crew the option to set a formal table or leave the space open for casual lounging, a flexibility that matters on a week-long charter when the weather dictates whether life moves indoors or out.
The sundeck carries a jacuzzi, a second lounging area and an aft seating platform, giving the yacht a third social level away from the main deck. On a vessel with this much rigging, the sundeck is also the one place entirely clear of sailing hardware, which makes it the quietest retreat aboard when San Limi is under engine.
The master suite sits forward on the lower deck and takes the full beam, with a king berth, a private sitting area and an en-suite head. The VIP cabin aft offers a double berth and its own en-suite in matching timber and fabric finishes. The two further guest cabins provide flexible berthing for the remaining guests.
San Limi cruises the eastern Adriatic for the summer season, based in Croatia with Montenegro, Slovenia and the Venetian lagoon all within comfortable reach. A cruising speed of 10 knots and a maximum of 13 knots keep the passage times manageable, Dubrovnik to Hvar in a long half-day, or across to the Montenegrin coast in an afternoon, and under sail she can cover the same ground more quietly when the Maestral fills in from the northwest.
The yacht carries a jet ski, a tender and a selection of water toys, accessible from the stern platform. The 2020 refit refreshed the soft furnishings, electronics and deck finishes while retaining the solid CMB hull and rig that have carried her through fifteen Adriatic seasons.
