TALEYA is a 55-metre motor yacht built by Rossinavi and delivered in 2008, one of the Italian shipyardu2019s earlier designs and a yacht that has aged remarkably well through refits in 2017 and 2023. Originally named South and then Rarity before taking her current name, she remains a consistently popular charter yacht on the strength of her unusually wide 10-metre beam, which gives TALEYA deck spaces significantly more generous than most yachts of comparable length.
The interior was designed by Cristiano Gatto Design, whose brief was to balance decadent modernity with enduring sophistication. The result is a warm, contemporary scheme with large windows, cream furnishings and textures of blue velvet in the main salon and lavender and violet hues in the sky lounge, offset throughout by large, bold works of art on the walls. The formal dining table seats 12 guests in the main salon, while a separate al fresco dining area on the upper deck aft provides a shaded alternative for more relaxed lunches. A panoramic elevator links all four decks for wheelchair-accessible movement throughout the yacht.
TALEYAu2019s sky lounge doubles as a cinema, with a complete transformation from social lounge to private screening room at the touch of a button. A forward lounge area on the main deck provides a quieter pre-dinner cocktail space away from the aft. The sun deck is built for day use and evening entertaining: a Jacuzzi sits forward surrounded by sun pads, a central gym and massage room provide wellness facilities with panoramic views, and the aft sun deck area has multiple lounging spaces.
The accommodation layout has both the master suite and the VIP cabin on the main deck, giving both rooms the same natural light and direct salon access. The remaining four cabins on the lower deck include two doubles and two twins, each with an additional Pullman bunk for family flexibility. All six have en-suite bathrooms finished with marble and designer fittings, and TALEYAu2019s chef, trained in the Asian culinary tradition, is consistently singled out by guests and brokers alike for the quality of his cooking.
Powered by twin engines with a top speed of 17 knots, a cruising speed of 13 and a range of 5,400 nautical miles, TALEYA spends her summers in the Eastern Adriatic, particularly Croatia and Montenegro, before heading into the broader Mediterranean, with her experienced crew of 13 offering some of the most detailed local knowledge of the Adriatic region in the charter market.
