ADARA is a 15 metre Sunreef sailing catamaran delivered in 2020 and refitted in 2024, a yacht that brings together the feel of a proper sailing boat and the space of a catamaran. Sunreef build in twin hull form, and she shows the benefit, a wide, level platform, a bright open main deck and accommodation for eight guests across four cabins split between the hulls. For a family or a group who want to sail the Greek islands without giving up room or stability, she is an easy and characterful size.
Her character comes from the mix of sail and space. Under her rig she is quiet and level, moving with the wind rather than the engines, yet she never rolls or heels the way a single hull would, so guests who are new to sailing stay comfortable throughout. At anchor she sits flat and steady, she draws very little water so she can tuck into shallow bays close to the beach, and the recent refit has kept her finishes and systems fresh and in fine order.
Her outdoor spaces are the heart of her. The aft cockpit is a shaded dining and lounging deck on warm teak, level with the sea and open astern, while the flybridge above gives an open upper deck with seating and a dining table under the sky and the sails. Between the two, and the trampolines and foredeck forward, the party has sun and shade in equal measure, and the water is always a step away for swimming.
Inside, the main deck is one bright, open room. The salon sits on one level with the cockpit under wide glazing that keeps the sea in view all round, with a well fitted galley alongside so the crew chef stays among the party rather than hidden below. Glass doors open aft so the living space and the cockpit run together the moment she settles at anchor, and the finish throughout is warm wood and soft neutrals kept calm and current.
Accommodation is for eight guests across four cabins split between the two hulls, each with its own bathroom. The master is a wide double set into one hull with a padded headboard and hull windows bringing the sea close, while three further doubles carry the same soft palette in the opposite hull and forward. Spreading the cabins across both hulls gives every room real privacy, which suits two couples or a family with older children sharing the yacht in comfort.
Her cruising ground is the Greek islands, and she is beautifully matched to them. Her sailing rig, shallow draft and steady platform open up the quiet coves and clear water of the Saronic and the Cyclades, the short hops between islands suit her under sail, and the harbours come alive after dark. She carries a set of water toys for the party to enjoy the moment the anchor is down, and her crew know the grounds well. Refitted in 2024 and run by an attentive crew of three, ADARA offers a relaxed, characterful and good natured way to sail the Aegean for eight guests from 23,500 euros a week.
