October to April offers the most comfortable temperatures for a charter along the Red Sea coast. Summer, from June to August, brings serious heat, and most cruising activity concentrates in the cooler months as a result.
King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) in Jeddah is the main gateway for the central and southern Red Sea coast, while NEOM Bay Airport (NUM) serves the northern developments around Sindalah and NEOM directly.
Obhur Creek and Jeddah Yacht Club & Marina anchor the central coast, while AMAALA Triple Bay and Sindalah Marina cover the newer developments further north. The Farasan Islands, well to the south, offer a quieter, more remote diving-focused stop for a longer itinerary.
A single hub, such as Jeddah or NEOM, can be covered comfortably in four to five days. The full corridor from Jeddah to NEOM runs several hundred nautical miles, and a charter that spans it properly is best planned over ten to fourteen days.
Yes. The Saudi Red Sea Authority issued its first dedicated regulation covering the entry, registration and chartering of foreign yachts in Saudi Red Sea waters. A charter broker or local agent typically handles the paperwork, but it’s worth building in extra lead time given how new the framework still is.
