CC Summer

Scale is the first thing you notice about CC Summer, and the last thing you stop
using. At 95 metres and 3,250 gross tonnes, this 2019 Lurssen carries thirty crew
for twelve guests, a ratio that quietly rewrites what a charter week can contain.
A 2025 refit brought her interiors and systems current without disturbing the
architecture that makes her work: five decks that each hold a distinct idea of
how to spend a day at sea.

The exterior designer Harrison Eidsgaard gave her a long, low sheer and a
plumb-ish bow that reads as restrained rather than aggressive. Laura Sessa
Romboli handled the interior, and her palette is the yacht’s real signature. Deep
navy, crisp white and warm burnt orange run through the main saloon, where
lacquered blue side tables sit against pale sofas and a wall-mounted artwork
anchors the forward bulkhead. It is coastal without being nautical kitsch, and it
resets in every stateroom: one cabin in coral red, another in turquoise, a third
in green lacquer, each fully committed to its colour.

Her amenity list is where CC Summer separates from the field. A certified
touch-and-go helipad occupies the foredeck. Aft of it sits a full-size sports
court, netted and lit, that converts between basketball and pickleball. There is
a counter-current pool on the main deck, a separate deck jacuzzi forward, a spa
with a massage room and an experience shower, a gym with harbour views on three
sides, an open-air cinema, a dance floor, a beach club, and a water slide that
runs from the upper deck into the sea. An elevator connects all of it. None of
these is a marketing line; each occupies real, photographed volume aboard.

Accommodation runs to ten staterooms. The owner’s suite sits forward on its own
private deck, finished in blue and white with a full-beam outlook and a marble
en-suite. Below, guest cabins alternate between doubles and twins, several with
their own colour identity and all with en-suites in book-matched marble. The
count means CC Summer suits a multi-generational group or two families
travelling together without anyone drawing the short cabin.

Powered by twin MTU diesels, she cruises at 12.5 knots and tops 18, with 6,000
nautical miles of range from 300,000 litres of fuel. That is transatlantic
capability, and her programme uses it: Italy and France through the summer, the
Caribbean and Bahamas through the winter. Stabilisers work underway and at
anchor, Starlink and satellite television keep the connection live, and the
tender fleet, an 11-metre Maori limousine, a 10-metre OceanOne, a Ribeye beach
lander and a Cockwells launch, means guests are never waiting for a lift ashore.

Thirty crew is the number that makes the rest of it work. A yacht can carry a
spa, a gym, a cinema and a sports court and still deliver them slowly; CC Summer
runs enough people to open all of it at once. Guests move between decks by
elevator, service arrives without being summoned, and the private owner’s deck
stays genuinely separate from the guest areas below. The effect is closer to a
small, very well staffed hotel that happens to relocate overnight than to a
yacht working through a list of requests.

What CC Summer offers is not simply more space. It is the option to do
genuinely different things at the same time, on the same yacht, without anyone
compromising. One group can be diving off the beach club while another plays a
set on the sports court and a third takes the helicopter to lunch. Few yachts on
the charter market are built to absorb that. This one was.
