A pool and a flyboard together offer the widest contrast of pace on a charter yacht. The pool sits on the aft or upper deck, a still, contained space for floating between meals and watching the coastline. The flyboard, powered by a jet ski tethered below, lifts a rider on a column of pressurised water ten metres or more above the surface, supervised by crew from the swim platform.
Seven charter yachts carry both. Geco and Holdin’ My Own, each around fifty five metres, combine a plunge pool on the upper deck with a full water sports inventory that includes the flyboard alongside jet skis, diving equipment and towed inflatables. Treehouse and Soundwave, at fifty nine and sixty three metres, add deeper pools and extended swim platforms. Lemon Tree and Ventum Maris stretch to sixty two and sixty six metres, with pools large enough for morning laps. Lady S, at ninety three metres, carries one of the largest pools afloat.
Weekly rates start at two hundred and eighty thousand euros for Holdin’ My Own and reach one million seven hundred and fifty thousand for Lady S. The core of the fleet charters between two hundred and eighty thousand and five hundred and fifty thousand euros per week, with the median close to four hundred and eighty five thousand. Add roughly thirty percent for the advance provisioning allowance covering fuel, food, port fees and drinks.
The fleet cruises the western Mediterranean in summer. Several reposition to the Caribbean for winter, where steady warmth extends the season for both features.
