Three hundred thousand euros a week is where the charter market stops adding guests and starts adding room. Twenty one yachts sit in this band, quoted between three hundred thousand and three hundred and thirty six thousand euros, with a median length of fifty five metres, and all of them are motor yachts.
The cabin count makes the point. Thirteen of the twenty one carry five cabins rather than six, and ten take ten guests rather than twelve, which is unusual this far up the fleet. Owners at this level specify fewer, larger suites and more shared space instead of maximum capacity. Benetti dominates with six yachts, followed by Sanlorenzo and Amels with three each, and Feadship and Oceanco with two.
The median quote is three hundred and ten thousand euros a week. An advance provisioning allowance of around thirty percent covers fuel, food, berthing and drinks, and at fifty five metres and above it becomes a substantial number in its own right. Expect a crew of fourteen to sixteen, and expect the newest hulls to sit at the top of the band.
