Four hundred thousand euros a week is the sixty metre bracket, and it is a remarkably consistent one. Fifteen yachts sit in this band, quoted between four hundred thousand and four hundred and forty six thousand euros for a summer week, with a median length of sixty metres and a median rate of four hundred and twenty five thousand.
What stands out is how little variation there is. Every yacht here is a motor yacht, every one takes twelve guests, and the split between six and seven cabins is nine to six. Nothing in the band is shorter than fifty five metres or longer than sixty eight. Benetti and Heesen lead with three yachts each, followed by Feadship and Abeking and Rasmussen with two, and single hulls from Lürssen, Nobiskrug, Trinity Yachts and Alia. The practical effect is that choosing comes down to interior style, deck layout and refit history rather than raw capability.
The quoted rate covers the yacht and her crew, which at sixty metres runs to fourteen or fifteen. Add an advance provisioning allowance of around thirty percent for fuel, food, berthing and drinks. July and August sit at the top of each yacht’s range, and a recent refit lifts a rate more reliably than an extra two metres of length.
