Fifty metres built for ten guests is a deliberate choice rather than a compromise. Yachts at this length can sleep twelve and often more, so a five cabin layout for ten means the volume has gone elsewhere, into a larger master, a beach club at water level, a gym, or crew quarters that keep a team of twelve out of sight.
The fleet here is unusually good. Perini Navi and Alloy bring sailing yachts of real capability, Benetti, Rossinavi, Trinity, Delta Marine and Overmarine cover the motor side, and Feadship, Baglietto and Sanlorenzo sit at the top of it. Gyms are close to standard, beach clubs appear on roughly a third, and spas, steam rooms and fold out terraces show up as you move up the range.
Weekly rates run from around one hundred and seventy five thousand to two hundred and fifty thousand euros, with the median close to two hundred and ten thousand. A well kept phinisi such as Amandira can be taken nearer ninety five thousand, and the newest hulls reach three hundred and twenty five thousand. Provisioning runs at roughly thirty percent.
At fifty metres range stops being a limit. A Mediterranean week runs the Riviera, Corsica and Sardinia in comfort, or Greece from Athens through the Cyclades to the Dodecanese, with the stability to cross open water overnight while guests sleep.
