Lengths run from twenty four metres to fifty two, with the median at thirty seven. Thirty are motor yachts and eleven are sailing, and the band includes some unusual boats: the fifty two metre phinisi Amandira and the forty eight metre Otium. A thirty seven metre motor yacht at this price typically sleeps ten in five cabins with a crew of six or seven. A fifty metre traditional sailing yacht at the same money trades marble and gadgets for deck space and atmosphere.
The advance provisioning allowance runs at roughly thirty percent on top, covering fuel, food, berthing and drinks. At this level fuel is a smaller share of the bill than higher up the fleet, so the figure tends to behave predictably. Shoulder season in May, June and late September brings the best of these yachts within reach of the lower end of the band.
