Eight cabins is the largest guest arrangement that appears with any regularity in charter, and it rarely means more people on board. Almost every yacht in this group still carries twelve guests, because the Passenger Yacht Code makes thirteen an expensive threshold to cross. What eight cabins buys is space per person rather than capacity, and somewhere for everyone to go.
The fourteen yachts we list this way start at fifty metres and run to a hundred and twenty two, with the median close to seventy four. That size is what the arrangement demands. Eight rooms need two guest decks, or a main deck master with seven cabins below, and enough beam that none of them feels like an afterthought. Lürssen, CRN, Oceanco, Feadship, Sanlorenzo and Admiral are the yards represented here, and Kismet at a hundred and twenty two metres sits at the top of the fleet.
Weekly rates begin near a hundred and fifty thousand euros and reach three million, with the middle of the group around eight hundred thousand, plus an advance provisioning allowance close to thirty percent covering fuel, food, berthing and drinks.
This is the arrangement for a family travelling with staff, for two or three households sharing a yacht, or for a group of twelve who would rather nobody doubled up.
