Fold out terraces transform the side of a motor yacht into open deck space that hovers just above the waterline. When deployed, they double the usable area of the main deck or the beach club, creating a platform for sunbathing, dining or stepping directly into the sea. When stowed, the hull profile returns to its original line and the yacht can cruise or berth as normal.
Thirty motor yachts in our charter fleet carry them, from Vivaldi at twenty nine metres to Breakthrough at one hundred and nineteen. On the newer builds from Sanlorenzo, Feadship and Amels, the terraces open hydraulically and sit flush with the interior floor, blurring the boundary between saloon and sea. On expedition-style yachts like Katina and Okto they create additional outdoor lounging areas that the fixed deck plan could not accommodate.
The fleet is well distributed across length bands. The forty to fifty metre range includes Alpha Waves, Alexandra, Paloma and Contigo, each pairing terraces with a beach club or pool. Above sixty metres, yachts like Sea Owl, Arience, Lemon Tree and Life Saga add them alongside gyms, spas and cinemas.
Weekly rates start at eighty thousand euros for Vivaldi, a twenty nine metre Monte Carlo Yachts. The median sits around three hundred and fifteen thousand. Breakthrough, the largest, charters at three and a half million. Add roughly thirty percent for the advance provisioning allowance.
