A sauna on a motor yacht sounds like an indulgence until you use one at anchor. After a morning dive or a day in cooler waters, the dry heat resets everything. Fifty one motor yachts in our charter fleet carry a dedicated sauna, and on most it sits on the lower deck near the beach club, lined in cedar or hemlock and fitted with a proper Scandinavian heater.
The fleet skews toward larger lengths. Fifteen yachts sit at eighty metres, including Solandge from Lurssen and Angelique from Turquoise. Fourteen fall in the sixty metre band and six at seventy. At fifty metres, Bella and Freedom carry saunas alongside spas and pools. The group narrows at forty metres but includes Bliss from Heesen and Option B from Benetti. Six cabins for twelve guests is the most common layout.
Weekly rates start at fifty seven thousand five hundred euros for Viking III, a forty metre Notika Teknik charter. The median sits at four hundred and sixty five thousand. Kismet and Renaissance both reach three million. A quarter of the fleet falls below two hundred and fifty five thousand. Add roughly thirty percent for the advance provisioning allowance covering fuel, food, berthing and drinks.
The Mediterranean fills the summer, with the Riviera and Sardinia the most popular routes and Greece and Croatia drawing the eastern contingent.
