Spetses sits at the eastern entrance of the Argolic Gulf, roughly two hours by fast ferry from Piraeus and within easy reach of Nafplion, Hydra and the ancient monuments of the Peloponnese. The island is famously car-free, its waterfront lined with horse-drawn carriages and traditional stone mansions, and it draws a loyal clientele who return each season. Motor yachts dominate charter activity in this corner of the Saronic, offering the range to cover Hydra and Dokos in a morning and push as far south as Monemvasia in a single day.
