The tender is the yacht’s car, and two hundred and fifty eight yachts in our charter fleet carry one worth the name. What matters is not that a tender exists but what it can do. A proper limousine tender gets eight guests ashore dry in a chop, which decides whether you anchor off Portofino or pay for a berth. An open sports tender is for towing and beach drops. Larger yachts carry both, plus a rescue boat. Two hundred and twenty five of these yachts are motor and thirty two are sailing, with Feadship the best represented yard at twenty two, followed by Benetti at fifteen and CRN at eleven.
Rates run from nineteen thousand five hundred euros a week to three and a half million, with the median at two hundred and twenty thousand. An advance provisioning allowance of around thirty percent covers fuel, food, berthing and drinks, and tender fuel sits inside it.
