Hallberg Rassy Sailing for Sale

Curated Selection
Hallberg Rassy has built ocean going cruising yachts at Ellos on the Swedish island of Orust since 1972, when the yards of Harry Hallberg and Christoph Rassy joined forces. Few builders are as consistent, and few are as immediately recognisable. The blue cove stripe and the fixed windscreen forward of the cockpit have identified these yachts on every ocean for fifty years. The Yacht Collection lists Hallberg Rassy sailing yachts across the range. The philosophy has barely changed. These are yachts built to take a family across an ocean and keep them dry, warm and rested while doing it. Hulls are laid up heavily, bulkheads are properly bonded, tankage is generous and the standard of installation behind the joinery is as considered as the joinery itself. The windscreen and hard dodger are not styling, they are what makes a night watch in weather bearable. Since 1988 the hulls have been drawn by German Frers, which brought markedly better performance to a range once known chiefly for solidity. Modern Hallberg Rassys sail well by any standard, and the centre cockpit models retain the large aft owner cabin that makes long term living aboard comfortable. Values are among the strongest in the market, so judge on condition rather than year. Check rigging dates, deck core and heating and engine systems after Nordic winters. Browse the Hallberg Rassy sailing yachts available and speak to our brokers about model years.
