S/Y Selene is a Lagoon 620, a sailing catamaran that pairs the easy space of a large multihull with the shallow draft and stability that make island cruising so relaxed. Launched in 2015 and given a full refit in 2024, she remains in excellent condition and carries up to ten guests in five cabins with a crew of three. Based in Greece, she spends her summers among the Greek islands, from the cosmopolitan Cyclades to the greener, quieter Ionian and the scattered anchorages of the Dodecanese.
Life aboard a catamaran like Selene is lived largely outdoors, and she has a deck space to suit every mood. Her standout feature is a seventeen square metre flybridge, a wide open terrace for sunbathing, socialising and taking in the panoramic sea views, with a helm station set to one side. Forward, the trampolines and sun pads over the bows are a favourite spot for lounging in the breeze at anchor, while the aft deck, shaded by a hardtop bimini, offers a spacious area for alfresco dining and evening gatherings just steps from the saloon.
The main deck saloon sits level with the aft cockpit, so the doors slide back and the two spaces read as one bright, open room. Inside, a comfortable lounge with pastel sofas wraps around a coffee table, and a dining area and navigation station share the same light-filled deckhouse under panoramic windows. The galley is set down in one of the hulls, keeping the living areas calm and uncluttered and giving the chef a dedicated space to work out of sight.
Selene sleeps ten across five equal double cabins, each with its own private bathroom. Because the cabins are matched rather than ranked around a single master, she suits families and groups of friends who prefer that no one is given the smallest room. Every cabin has warm timber joinery, hull windows for natural light and a serene, uncluttered feel, making each one a comfortable retreat after a day in the sun.
A hydraulic bathing platform at the stern is one of her most useful features. It launches the tender effortlessly and then lowers to become a private sea-level deck, an easy place to swim from, relax on or enjoy a cocktail right at the waterline. The wide, level decks and secure guardrails make it simple for guests of every age to move around the yacht, whether she is sailing gently downwind or lying at anchor in a quiet cove.
Her tender and toy locker keeps the days busy, with a 4.7 metre tender, a wakeboard and water skis, two paddleboards, two Seabobs, a kayak, a monoski, a kneeboard, several inflatable toys and full snorkelling and fishing gear, along with beach and board games for quieter afternoons. An experienced crew of three looks after the sailing, the cooking and the service throughout. Comfortable, easy to live with and ideally suited to her Greek cruising grounds, S/Y Selene offers the space of a large catamaran and the slow, sociable pace of a proper sailing holiday.
