60m Sailing Yachts for Charter

197' Yachts for Charter

Curated Selection
Sixty metres under sail is a small and unusually characterful part of the charter fleet. Nine yachts, and no two of them answer the brief the same way. A rig of this size needs a crew that can handle it and an owner willing to build for it, which is why the group reads like a list of individuals rather than a class. Perini Navi accounts for four of them, Rosehearty, Zenji, Asahi and the sixty four metre Spirit of the C’s, all captive winch ketches that ten crew can work in comfort. Beside them sit two schooners built to much earlier lines, Elena Of London and Atlantic, the Royal Huisman ketch Twizzle, the Alloy Yachts sloop Kokomo and the Indonesian phinisi Prana by Atzaro. Weekly rates run from one hundred thousand euros to two hundred and forty five thousand, with the median near two hundred and twenty thousand. That is a fraction of what a motor yacht of the same length commands, largely because fuel becomes optional. An advance provisioning allowance of around thirty percent still applies, covering food, berthing, drinks and whatever diesel the week actually needs. These yachts reward passages rather than marina hopping. Summer suits the Tyrrhenian, Corsica, Sardinia and the Aeolians, and the Ionian and Aegean when the meltemi is working. Winter takes them to Antigua, Saint Barths and the Grenadines, while Prana runs Raja Ampat and Komodo through the year. Tell us your dates and we will show you which rigs are open.
