Fifty metres is where a beach club stops being a fold down platform and starts functioning as an enclosed room at water level. The extra beam and volume at this length allow designers to build a proper lounge behind the transom, with glass walls, air conditioning, day heads and direct access to the swim platform. Some hulls run the beach club across the full beam with fold out terraces that double the usable area over the water.
Twenty eight charter yachts at fifty metres carry a beach club. The fleet includes recent deliveries from Amels, Benetti and Sanlorenzo alongside established names like Gladiator, Zoom Zoom Zoom and Liquid Sky. Most take twelve guests in five or six cabins with crews of twelve to fourteen. Several carry a spa, a gym and an outdoor cinema alongside the beach club, making the lower deck a self contained wellness and entertainment area.
Weekly rates open at ninety nine thousand euros and reach three hundred and twenty five thousand for the newest and most heavily specified yachts. The median sits at two hundred and twenty five thousand. An advance provisioning allowance of roughly thirty percent covers fuel, food, berthing and drinks. The cost of the beach club itself is mostly in the build, not the running, so the premium over a comparable yacht without one is modest.
