Seven cabins is where charter stops being about fitting a group aboard and starts being about how much of the yacht each guest gets. Very few yachts are built this way. Forty six of our charter fleet carry seven cabins, and almost all of them are large motor yachts where the seventh room costs the yard nothing it could not spare.
The range runs from thirty two metres to ninety six, with the median close to sixty two. Most are certified for twelve guests, which means seven cabins gives you a spare room, a study, a staff cabin or simply a layout where nobody sleeps forward of the beam. A smaller group of Passenger Yacht Code vessels use those seven cabins to carry more than twelve overnight. Feadship, Benetti and Abeking and Rasmussen dominate the list.
Rates reflect the size of these yachts rather than the cabin count. The middle of the fleet charters near four hundred and thirty thousand euros a week, with the quieter quarter below two hundred thousand and the largest beyond one and a half million, plus an advance provisioning allowance near thirty percent.
Seven cabins suits multi-generational families and groups travelling with staff, where separation matters as much as space. These yachts favour the Western Mediterranean in high summer, the Greek islands and Turkey in September, and the Caribbean or the Indian Ocean through winter.
