With 45 motor yachts currently available for charter in Greek waters, the fleet spans everything from sporty 30-metre cruisers to full-beam superyachts of 80 metres and above, each staffed by experienced crews who know these waters intimately.
The advantage of a motor yacht in Greece is range. Where a sailing itinerary might cover five islands in a week, a motor yacht can comfortably reach eight or ten, opening up combinations that would be impossible under canvas. Island-hop from Mykonos to Santorini before breakfast, duck into a quiet Cycladic bay for lunch, and tie up in a Saronic Gulf marina by evening.
Weekly charter rates for motor yachts in Greece range from around 55,000 euros for a well-appointed 30-metre yacht to 875,000 euros for the largest and most lavishly equipped vessels, with a broad cluster between 100,000 and 250,000 euros. The advance provisioning allowance, typically 30% of the charter fee, covers fuel, food, berthing and drinks. Summer rates peak from late June through August, while May, early June and September deliver calmer seas and often better availability.
The Cyclades remain the most requested itinerary, but Greece’s motor yacht fleet increasingly serves the Dodecanese, the Peloponnese coast and the northern Sporades, where quieter anchorages and unspoiled villages reward those willing to venture beyond the classic circuit.
