A hydraulic swim platform is the difference between stepping into the sea and lifting a tender out of it. Twenty four yachts in our charter fleet have one, running from twenty six to fifty six metres with a median length of just over forty.
The mechanism does two jobs. Lowered, it sits a few centimetres under the surface and becomes a shallow beach for swimming, which is safer for children and much easier for anyone who does not want to use a ladder. Raised, it lifts a tender or a jet ski clear of the water without a crane. Twenty of these yachts are motor and four are sailing, with Benetti at four and Perini Navi at three the best represented yards. Blue II, Asahi and Parsifal III are the largest in the group.
Rates run from sixty thousand euros a week to three hundred and thirty six thousand, with the median at a hundred and seventy nine thousand. An advance provisioning allowance of around thirty percent covers fuel, food, berthing and drinks. Ask about lifting capacity if you intend to carry a larger tender.
