Snorkelling is the water activity that needs the least and delivers the most, and a hundred and twenty nine yachts in our charter fleet are equipped for it. The group runs from twenty four metres to a hundred and nineteen, with a median length of fifty metres.
Equipment is the easy part. Every yacht here carries masks, fins and snorkels in a range of sizes, and most keep children’s kit as well. What separates a good snorkelling charter is the crew, who know which side of an island holds the reef, when the light is right, and how to run a tender drop so guests swim with the current rather than against it. A hundred and seven of these yachts are motor and twenty two are sailing, with Benetti and Feadship the best represented yards.
Rates run from eighteen thousand five hundred euros a week to three and a half million, with the median at two hundred thousand. An advance provisioning allowance of around thirty percent covers fuel, food, berthing and drinks. If snorkelling matters, ask whether the yacht also carries dive kit and a qualified crew member, since many in this group do.
