Fold Out Terrace Charter Yachts

Curated Selection
A fold out terrace is a section of hull or bulwark that drops on hydraulics to become a balcony over the water. It is one of the few features that genuinely changes the shape of a yacht, turning a solid steel side into an open platform with a rail and a teak floor, and it is why a master suite on a modern build can feel like a house above the shoreline rather than a cabin at sea. Twenty nine yachts in our charter fleet carry them, from twenty nine metres to a hundred and nineteen, with the median close to fifty five. Feadship accounts for the largest single group, alongside CRN, Sanlorenzo, Amels, Mondomarine and Benetti. The installations vary more than the name suggests. Some fold out from the master suite alone, some open both sides of the main deck to widen a saloon by several metres, and on the largest yachts a full beach club drops on three sides at once. Weekly rates start near eighty thousand euros, run around three hundred and fifteen thousand through the middle of the fleet and reach three and a half million at the top, plus an advance provisioning allowance near thirty percent covering fuel, food, berthing and drinks. Terraces want settled water and time at anchor, which makes them a Mediterranean and Caribbean feature above all. Sardinia, the Amalfi coast and the Cyclades in summer, then Saint Barths and the Grenadines from December. Tell us your dates and we will show you which of the twenty nine are open.
